Cardinus launches new e-learning courses and updates

Fire Safety Plus update

A new version of Fire Safety Plus will soon be released. Existing customers will be contacted over the next few months to discuss the changes which include the new smoking regulations as well as updated graphics. Click here for an early preview.

Disability Awareness
Cardinus is pleased to announce a new e-learning course 'Understanding Disability' developed together with UKCAE - The UK Council for Access and Equality. Understanding Disability is an integral part of UKCAE's 'Pathway' that will provide awareness, understanding, knowledge and the necessary skills to enable any organisation to understand the requirements of all equality legislation. The Pathway will assist organisations in adopting procedures and implementing systems that will promote diversity and inclusion and achieve real change in the workplace. Click here for an early preview.

Security Awareness
This new e-learning course has been developed in conjunction with Atos Origin - a world leader in IT and security consulting. The course is primarily concerned with IT security, including modules on using email, backing up data, passwords and using the internet. However, it also includes wider security issues, and combined with other Cardinus modules covering personal/off-site safety may provide a suitable training solution for many organisations. THB Group plc acquires Cardinus
As our customers will already know, Cardinus has recently become a member company of THB Group plc. THB provides insurance and risk management in specialist markets such as motor, catastrophe, professional indemnity, media and sport. Cardinus already works with THB UK’s fleet risk management division to provide online risk assessment and e-learning for many of its clients’ fleet drivers.

Commenting on the deal, Vic Thompson, THB’s group chief executive, said: “This is an important acquisition for THB. Cardinus has an exceptional blue-chip client list and the synergies between the clients of both companies will offer significant cross-selling opportunities within the Group. The deal will also further develop our capability in the health and safety arena, while complementing our existing core strengths. We are delighted to have secured for THB the expertise of Chris Baldwin and his colleagues, who are recognised as market leaders in their specialist field.” Chris Baldwin, managing director of Cardinus, said: “We look forward to working with THB to develop a comprehensive risk management solution for safety, HR, fleet risk and ergonomics.
