Andrew Hawkes (Chief Executive Officer)

Andy is CEO of THB UK – the fleet insurance and risk management division of THB Group plc - and is a Director of the Group’s managing general agency, Unicorn Underwriting Ltd. Andy has over 20 years of risk management and insurance experience including roles at Royal Sun Alliance, Lombard Elizabethan and Independent Insurance.

Jon Abbott (Managing Director)

As Cardinus’ Managing Director Jon is responsible for the operational, strategic and financial direction of Cardinus.

Jon has over 15 years experience of ergonomics, safety and occupational health. Over that period he has worked with a wide variety of organizations in the private and public sectors providing a full range of risk management solutions including software, e-learning and consultancy.

Barbara Snape (Associate Director - Operations)

Barbara produces and implements product development strategies and actively explores new areas of business growth with external customers and Cardinus’ partner companies.

Barbara has worked with Cardinus for 10 years, most recently heading the Customer Support team. With a background in industrial procurement and her detailed knowledge of customer requirements, Barbara brings a unique combination of skills to the role.

Barry Holt (Head of Health & Safety Consultancy)

Barry Holt has over 30 years experience in providing environment, health and safety consulting services and training to a wide range of commercial, industrial and public organizations in most European countries, the Middle East, USA and Far East.

Prior to joining Cardinus, Barry was the European Regional Director for the National Safety Council and before this a member of the Business Risk Practice at Willis & Principle Consultant at Norwich Union Risk Services.

Barry is also involved in the academic field, being a visiting lecturer in health and safety and risk management on MSc programs at University College, London (School of Architecture & Built Environment) and Imperial College, London. He was also external examiner on the postgraduate programs in the Centre for Hazard & Risk Management, University of Loughborough. Barry was a member of the Project Board for a three-year Government funded research project to identify key factors influencing risk perception in construction projects. This was carried out by University College, London and the University of Manchester Business School.

Rick Spencer (M.S Senior Consultant Omega Solutions in Ergonomics)

Rick Spencer’s extensive research in human performance has provided him with numerous program development opportunities with several Fortune 500 companies and large public agencies. Active in the field of behavioral sciences and ergonomic health, his experience ranges from the development of training and OSHA compliance programs to performance-based ergonomics program management.

Rick’s academic work, research opportunities with U.C.L.A. and Telecare, has allowed him to establish a strong knowledge base of behavioral modification and human factor elements. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Safety Council and American Society of Safety Engineers.

Abi Deavin (Customer Services/Support Manager)

Abi Deavin has over 20 years of experience supporting internal and external customers through large implementations. Previously responsible for the internal automation of a well-known recruitment agency, Abi spent five years developing the appropriate program before ensuring its deployment in over 100 branches throughout the UK. Abi came to Cardinus in 2004 after returning from the post of Quality Manager for Defence Estates at Joint Headquarters in Germany.

Since joining Cardinus, Abi has gained a wealth of experience running national and global implementations and continues to lead a number of our largest or most complex customer implementations by partnering with project leaders. In her role of Customer Services/Support Manager, she now leads the teams directly responsible for deliverable services from the point of sale onwards.

Stephen King (Development Manager)

Stephen joined Cardinus in 2008 and has over 10 years of IT development and management experience specializing in online web solutions. He leads a strong team of developers including technical and content specialists. Stephen has worked with a range of both small and large corporate companies and always ensures that the solutions provided match and exceed the client’s requirements. Stephen graduated with a BEng Honours in 1995 after studying Electrical & Broadcast Engineering at Brighton University.

Guy Schrecker (Sales Manager)

As Sales Manager, Guy is responsible for ensuring that all Cardinus' clients receive appropriate guidance throughout the sales process. During his time with Cardinus Guy has developed an exceptionally transparent sales process that allows potential customers to evaluate our solutions prior to purchase thereby ensuring they meet the needs of their business. Guy manages a team based throughout the UK ensuring responsiveness at all times.

Guy joined Cardinus in 2006 after a successful management career in Driver Training, Automotive Replacement Glass and Transactional Software.

Rachel Schilling (Office Manager)

As Office/Accounts Manager Rachel is responsible for the effortless running of the office and the pecuniary aspect of the business. Rachel has a wealth of knowledge in her field and implements ideas at every opportunity. Rachel has over 15 years experience and is a fundamental part of Cardinus' continued success.
