Developing a Health & Safety Management System

To be effective, organisations must put in place a system by which health and safety is managed in the same way as all other aspects of the business. The specific components of the health & safety management system would include:

Development of your health and safety policy.
Establishment of an internal organisation to implement & maintain the policy.
Development of a process for setting and measuring health and safety objectives.
Developing a communication strategy.
Embedding a risk assessment process to establish and maintain appropriate controls.
Identifying training needs.
Setting performance measures including both leading & lag indicators.
Establishing an audit process to ensure that the system continues to be appropriate for the business.

The project would be scoped out in association with the client and the duration of the project and its stages would be agreed.
