Bank branches, trading floors, call centres and business function offices all require different levels of ergonomics support, training and interventions. We recognise the need for banks to meet regulations around ergonomics while differentiating their support to the various working environments. With that in mind, we’d like to invite you to our Banking Ergonomics Breakfast Briefing.
On the 28th February, between 8am and 11am, we’re going to bring together the banking safety community along with hand-picked experts for an event that will tackle some of the most important ergonomics issues that affect you.
Over the course of 3 hours, our excellent speakers will be considering the challenges of good ergonomics practice in branches, trading floors, call centres and other environments.
This free-to-attend event will take place on at our offices on Leadenhall Street. Breakfast will be included.
Juliet Raine: How big changes in banking has affected health and wellbeing
Technology has driven banking in new and exciting directions with ever increasing speed, and there is no indication that the progress in technology will slow down in the near future. As businesses race to keep up with and strive to get ahead of technology we are experiencing new and unexpected challenges in our working lives and at home. Juliet will take you on a journey through different roles, looking specifically at how tasks have changed and what this has meant for employees within a bank. She will provide an insight into the demands placed on the human body by different tasks and how these demands have changed as the workload has evolved, in both positive and negative ways. This will enable you to understand why a focus on health and well-being must be a central aspect in branch design and in the evolution of policy and procedure. Simple ways to future-proof the business, facilitate a positive safety culture, overcome the challenges in any change management process and improve the health and well-being of employees will be discussed. Time will also be available to discuss specific challenges faced within your business.
Colebrook Bosson Saunders and DASbf, two expert organisations in trading desk ergonomics, will be coming together to deliver a talk aimed at some of the ergonomics issues surrrounding trading desks, and will provide specialist knowledge. More to be confirmed.
Jon Abbott will discuss the latest banking ergonomics solution from Cardinus Risk Management. Covering office employees, trading floor employees, bank branch employees and call centre employees, it’s a holistic software solution to the problems of ergonomics training and risk assessments for staff operating in diverse environments.
