Lifting, pushing and pulling are the leading cause of disabling injuries in America, according to a report from the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety. Overexertion involving outside sources accounted for more than a quarter of the USA’s total injury cost burden in 2012.

The report also ranks the top ten causes of serious, non-fatal occupational injuries. They include falls on the same level, being struck by object or equipment and falls to lower level
