Understand the Fire Safety Act 2021

The Fire Safety Act is set to shake up the fire industry. In this webinar, we will help you understand those challenges and how they will affect you.

Cardinus and FRC have set up an operational alliance to better serve their respective clients and the wider community. Together they assess, advise and report on fire-related matters on over 3,000 blocks a year.

Your host is Cardinus’ Fire specialist Survey Manager, Samantha Crawley. Sam is engaged with many of you already, providing technical support on issues arising from these changes. She will give insight and advice on the practical change’s you will see day-to-day.

To guide us through the complex issues relating to facades, building structure and compartmentalisation we have FR Consultant’s Managing Director Dorian Lawrence. Dorian has championed the needs of us all in dealing with the Government over the BSF. He is probably the most knowledgeable person across the BSF spectrum.

Meet Your Speakers:

Samantha Crawley, NEBOSH, BAFE Gold, BDMA, AAIRSM, is engaged daily in technical support for Cardinus’ 800 property management clients and Freeholders. With over 20 years of experience in insurance fire investigation and fire risk assessment. Samantha sits on the ARMA Building Safety Group and has extensive experience with all types of fire risk assessments with a speciality in high rise, high-risk buildings with particular advisory skills in auditing and enforcement issues across nationwide property portfolios for the major property management companies.

Dorian Lawrence MCIOB C.Build E MCABE founded FR Consultants in 2018, with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Following the Grenfell tragedy, he identified a need for guidance, accountability, and new services in the relatively new and constantly evolving façade fire safety landscape. As an experienced façade consultant, Dorian also sits on the ARMA Building Safety Group as well as the ‘Cladding Works – On-Site Project Engagement Forum’ with Faithful and Gould.
