As we say goodbye to 2023 a quote from Joshua J. Marine comes to mind; “Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.”

As I look forward to 2024 I know that we will face challenges but the Cardinus team are absolutely focused on overcoming them.

Keep reading as Andy Hawkes, CEO, Cardinus Risk Management reflects on Cardinus’ 2023 highlights and what we expect in 2024.

2023: A recap

Global economic improvement and the easing cost of living crisis, is overshadowed by ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. In the UK, escalating workplace conflicts and protests, from various causes, contributing to increased violence on our streets. These challenges elevate risks for physical and human assets, posing difficulties for health, safety, security and wellbeing professionals.

Agile solutions for our clients’ ever-changing needs

During 2023, we continued to develop solutions to meet the needs of our clients across the world and our global regulatory solution has been in strong demand. We can now provide office (ergonomics) regulatory advice in 132 countries to support our clients. In addition we can offer virtual and onsite ergonomic assessments and health and safety audits in 191 countries.

We have continued to win many new clients with a number of well-known global brands coming on board and boast over 6 million employee users on our systems.

Managed Services underpins growth

Over the past year we’ve seen a significant demand from clients wanting us to manage their Healthy Working ergonomics program. The team now looks after over 100 clients from roll outs, day to day management and monthly reporting. We manage virtual and onsite assessments across the globe and  work with specialist equipment suppliers to provide a true end-to-end solution.

Industrial ergonomics growth

Our partnership with Australian-based Longitude6 goes from strength to strength. Our innovative  motion capture and sensor technologies are supporting clients in the UK and USA. We launched our state of the art AI motion capture system, MotionTrack6.  This solution is really exciting and we looking forward to demonstrating it to clients this year.

Market leader in property and insurance risk control solutions

The Cardinus property division has managed increasing demand for our BAFE fire risk assessments, health and safety audits, and RICS Reinstatement Cost Assessments.

Our insurance outsourcing team is firmly established as a UK top 3 provider of audits for a number of major insurers, brokers and managing general agencies. Both divisions are supported by our market-leading INDIGO software platform, which enables clients to book, track, report and follow up on risk mitigation.

We have completed the INDIGO API integration with cloud based property management platform, Dwellent. This provides the essential database and reporting for the new Building Safety Case regulations.
